Pinnys and Minis

Hitty Jean and Ima have just returned from a long weekend in Sturbridge!  What a Grand Time they had!  Friends from all over (even as far as Canada and Japan!) gathered together for a few days of chatter and adventure. Our favorite restaurant, “Soup to Nuts” was prepared for our arrival. What fun it was to show off our pinnys, made from the a tablecloth given to us last year. It was exciting to return in matching attire. Thank you to the Robertson Hittys for our pinnys!

Every evening, we all would gather in the hotel.  It is always special to see old friends and to meet new ones!  Above is Hitty Jean with her new friend, Hitty Violette, and of course her friend Hitty Robertson!   The main event was the Sturbridge miniature show. Hitty Jean did some shopping at Judy Brown’s booth. Another favorite booth was Art to Play With. Furniture, trinkets, pastries, sweaters, all were available!  Why even Hittys and houses were there, available to bring home!  The best part was when someone adopted her first Hitty!  It is always a joy to welcome a new friend into the Hitty world.

Of course, all good things must end, and all too soon it was time to go home. It was a beautiful day for travel. The hills of Massachusetts were lovely.  It would have been a pity to let the scenery whizz by, so a stop was made and the Hittys were able to admire the view: So another gathering has come and gone…Of course the Hittys are already planning another!  The show is an annual event. Information can be found HERE.  Information on Hitty, including where and how to purchase Hitty-Sized miniatures can be found HERE. And certainly Hitty Robertson will be telling the story of her adventures in her journal!

‘Til Next Time…

  1. Ooooh I am so pleased to have this account of your fantastic trip to Sturbridge! The Pinnys are adorable, I just love to see all the girls lined up and smiling! Was your (very tiny) suitcase bulging on the way home??

  2. Wow, what a wonderful weekend you had, and a great account of it as well. I hope one day the Rose Cottage Hittys can attend such an event – wouldn’t that be good?
